Coming from Torrance, California, Beatniks is a fresh, young, hip, and open team hoping to make a huge impact on the dance community and expects to stay around. Founded by Linda Nguyen, they first originated in 2003 when six twelve year old girls decided to dance in their school talent show. Of the six girls, four remain: Ashley Cruz, Janine Guhit, Linda Nguyen, and Berlyn Tong. These girls have grown up together through tears and laughter. Entering high school in 2005, they formed the beginning of Beatniks. Now, Beatniks is composed of 16 hard-working high school students. Beatniks comes together to share their passion for Hip Hop and hopes to make a positive influence on others.
