Awh, but ya gotta admit it is worth it to be jolted just one that way.. :) ... Baptised by steam.. Locomotive style oh yeah! :) .. Just be glad ya did not get steam burns.. those really stink :) .DNatureofDTrain
I bet they can but what is holding up is the funding of course.. They were hit by major flooding last summer... So they have alot of work to do... Videos like this are great motivation to let people know where their donations will go to... I am with you I hope they get her running again too, Great engine!DNatureofDTrain
This clip is awesome! The date even May 1986 ... The second of week of october in 1986 .. This train was the first official train I ever road. I was 6 years old.. I remember being invited in the cab blowing the whistle... and told I was a natural.. and they seemed to be baffled that I knew the guages and technical terms... I however may not know that anymore.. But I do know one thing. I love Trains and Railroading and the CNW 1385 sealed that love in permantly. - Dana C. L. "DNatureofDTrain"DNatureofDTrain

she was a good old girl and i miss her alot,, i rode in her cab many a times as i worked at the museum in north freedom on the track crew for a feww seasons ,,,,its sad to see her quiet,,,loved walking into the engine house in the early morning with my coffee and smell that slumbering coal in the fire box that had been resting since they buttoned her up the night before!maybe shell come back someday if all those members at the museum can agree on somthing for once!! not likely--ha hastwostal

Its funny I found a picture taken around 1981 in front of that engine, somewhere. Im doing some research and I am going to assume it was in Wisconsin. I was like 6 at the time.N9QGS

Awww... hear that Stack talk! The little engine that can!CounterHeavy
The worst thing about 1385 blowing steam at me was the high frequency of that release. It really hurt my ears.rwundrock
Cool to see someone get bits of the old nostalga, sorry it blew its nose at you was the steam foggy to the view?barndoor55
I didn't expect the 1385 to stop and didn't know how long it would be stationary. The 1385 did "blow its nose" on me as I tried to protect my new camcorder.rwundrock
This was definitely your good fortune! I don't think I would have let the fireman get away without playing twenty questions!mrfunone
