| awesome u got a UP GEVO! | HamiltonOhrailz |
| Yeah all of the AC6000's have been Detuned to 4,400 HP I guess for fuel economy reasons. They are some massive beasts! I still love to see an EMD but where i live it is Ussually GEVO's on the main line. But occasionally i'll catch an SD70 on a coal train or pig train. Nice vid! | 400exNick |
| I saw two yesterday (3/15). The sound they make is the technology used in the Deuch MWM German prime mover that they use. | CSXno601 |
| The AC6000CW is a beast of a locomotive. I absolultely love the sound they make. Its unique and you know what it is even before you can see it. CSX is supposedly having their fleet of them refurbed by GE with V-16 GEVO prime movers installed to replace the HDL prime mover. | floridasun1983 |
| ac6000cw's are awesome! i don't see them enough though | furryfurball1221 |
| Nathans91 - you obviously do not know what you are talking about. EMD sales have gone down since the 1990s, and basically all of their units have been terrible misfits lately. Meanwhile, GE established a very successful prime mover that has proven more reliable than what EMD has offered. These GE units are putting your EMD units to rest. GE units used to blow up, when technology as put in the U and B-boats was used, now they have advanced. The AC6000CW units are awesome!! | CSXno601 |
| GE's work well for years but with the GEVO series, they suck | furryfurball1221 |
| I love only EMD's. To be honest, I don't like GEVOS or anything else with GE's. GE's are like alco's. They blow too many turbos and pistons throughout any railway's career that puts up with them. For long, you have big billows of smoke like a steam engine. All GE's do is blow up! | Nathans91 |
| yeah | furryfurball1221 |
| nice k5hl horn | mallmaven |
| GEVO's are ES44DC'S. AC6600CW'S are another type of locomotive. | furryfurball1221 |
| what are GEVO's and AC60's? I'm just taking a guess but does GEVO mean GE's new "Evolution Series" locos and AC60's short for the "AC6000"? | gmjssc |
| yeah i like the last horn of the second train as it passes ya | coolixin123 |
| no actually...i forgot my tripod that day, i rested on a fence as a last resort | furryfurball1221 |
| Man, I am getting very annoyed with the CSX GEVO units. The AC60CW's are better. I like the second train in this video. | CSXno601 |
| great video kelly! tripod slanted? | BRIANamtrak |
| Like the horn on the first CSX train and how on the second one's engineer sounds the horn to you and how you got a union pacific. | csxES44DC |
