UP in Southern Idaho, a day in Payette

There are some videos that I took in Payette while waiting for 844. Although I saw about 7 freights go by, I only took these three videos to save camera space for 844. First up is an eastbound loaded auto rack at track speed, 65 MPH. Next is a double stack starting up after a meet with a local freight. And last but not least, 844! I borrowed a friends camera for this, and when I dumped the videos onto my computer, surprise surprise , sound!

Great video. Sure wish that would head down the coast line sometime. 844 is a beauty, too bad he didn't blow the steam whistle for you.meyer8400

I wasn't trying to be, sorry.mafarnz
Dont be an asshole, I was just saying it sounded like a P5negerpungrally2
I guarantee you it's not. UP has never used P5's on their power, that, like it says above, is a K3LA.mafarnz
that sounded just like a P5negerpungrally2
imagine if in a scenario emegency brake were applied how long the distance is needed before it totally stopholysinx
oh ok thanks for the infoeddieg749
Track speed at that spot is 65 main, 35 on the siding I believe. They sure were going close to the 65 limit that's for sure.mafarnz
how fast can they go on that trackeddieg749
That's the actual horn, and all of the trains that day had those horns. I don't really care for the K3LA that UP uses. Thanks for the stars and subscription though.mafarnz
Yuck,What a NASTY K3LA HORN! Sounds like the result you get when you don't loop the MSTS horns right! Well, job well done, five stars, and my subscribe.tionmarklester01
