EB UP Intermodel thru Roy Creek Rd. 1-13-07 Afternoon
After chasing down a manifest train that had come through the Roy Green Rd. crossing earlier in the afternoon, my Grandma and I headed back west towards Longview from Hallsville on U.S. Highway 80. We were almost to Longview, when down by the Trinity Rail Plant I spotted the unmistakable sight of intermodel stack cars in motion rounding the curve in the distance and heading towards us. So we immediately turned around and headed back to the Roy Green Rd. crossing where I got this Union Pacific intermodel heading east towards Marshall, TX. It was really turning out to be a much more active day than I thought it would have been, and I was so happy with our luck.
After this train finished passing, we chased it down, as we had done with the earlier train, but this time we went all the way to Marshall, which is about 15 miles east of here.
