Railfanning the UP Herington Subdivision, 10-21-07

Yet another cold October day in Kansas, but that didn't stop me from going out and railfanning, and here's what I caught. Train 1: UP SD70ACe #8336 Leads an Eastbound mixed intermodel towards Herington. Train 2: Can you say ESPEE! Well I sure can, as SP AC4400 #187 leads a grain train Eastbound with a fellow EX-SP AC4400 along for the ride.

Ohh, wow I've see heard that! That so awesome for me hehehehee! So thank you for you tell me what mean is ESPEE > SP Plus, great video and 5 rating!!!FlyBikes089
ESPEE sounds like SP, so some railfans type it like ESPEE.Treyvs
ESPEE? What that mean is?FlyBikes089
They changed the horn on SP 187.bnsf4737
Another one that sucks with track maintenance is CSX, they tend to be the ones that cause more derailments because of broken track ties, and bends. I've been telling Chuck that BNSF should get themselves together and order a HERZOG train or something that can make theie line through Hutch much safer.NSNCRailfan
Oh sweetTreyvs
Sorry about the mistake. I've seen SP187 once pulling a coal train.BNSF7776

Awesome the video, man! And got full million of star (lol) (hehehehee)FlyBikes089
man UP is putting in new ties. what about low budget BNSF? BNSF sucks at track and crossing maintenance. the crossings on the Emporia sub are terrible.eccentriceric

I think SP kept the ditchlights until they merged with UP. I wonder why they are still using them, but UP had took the flashing away from some units.NSNCRailfan
thanks brianTreyvs
Train #1. Nice!! Sounded like an NS Catfish type of horn. Train #2. Ah, Yes! Those good ole' SP units. It is rare to see yellow sandwiched in between 2 SP units with the lead flashing this ditchlights.NSNCRailfan
